Yarn Materials & Care Guide
Yarn Materials & Care Guide
Each handmade crochet piece is made with carefully selected yarn. Different yarns have different textures, finishes, and care needs. This guide explains the materials we use and how to care for your crochet item so it stays soft, clean, and beautiful for longer.
General Care Instructions
Handmade crochet items should be handled gently. Please avoid pulling, twisting, rubbing, or stretching the yarn, especially around small details, embroidered areas, fluffy surfaces, accessories, and shaped parts.
For most crochet items, spot cleaning is recommended. Use a soft cloth with a small amount of cold water and mild detergent. Gently dab the stained area instead of rubbing it. After cleaning, press lightly with a dry towel and allow the item to air dry naturally.
Important: Do not use bleach, strong detergents, tumble dryers, irons, or high heat. Heat may damage the yarn, change the shape of the item, flatten fluffy fibres, or affect the surface texture.
| Recommended | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Spot clean gently with cold water | Machine washing, harsh rubbing, or soaking |
| Use mild detergent only when needed | Bleach, strong cleaners, or fabric softeners |
| Air dry naturally in a shaded area | Tumble drying, ironing, or direct heat |
| Store in a dry and shaded place | Moisture, direct sunlight, heaters, and dusty areas |
Storage Guide
Please store crochet items in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Keep them away from moisture, direct sunlight, strong heat, radiators, heaters, and dusty areas.
Long-term exposure to sunlight may cause yarn colours to fade or become uneven. Bright colours, pastel colours, and dyed yarns may show visible fading more easily over time. Sunlight may also affect the softness, surface texture, and shine of certain yarns.
If storing your crochet item for a long time, place it in a clean storage box, fabric bag, or dust bag. Make sure the item is completely dry before storage to prevent dampness, odour, or mildew.
